November 8, 2012 - President Dave Schaller called the Meeting<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors to order on November 8, 2012 at 4:37<br />

p.m.<br />

ROLL CALL OF DIRECTORS:<br />

Present: Schaller, Clay, Purvis, Turner, Lopez, DiCarlo, Petrachek,<br />

Garmo, Bennetts<br />

Upon motion by Turner, Second by Clay and passed by<br />

unanimous vote, the November 8, 2012 meeting <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong><br />

Directors entered into closed session at 4:38 p.m. for confidential<br />

communications to include Fern Steiner, Cindy Olson and Adah<br />

Mathias.<br />

1) DISCUSSION:<br />

a) Closed session minutes from October 25, 2012, Legal<br />

MOTION/Purvis, SECOND/Turner to come out <strong>of</strong> closed<br />

session at 5:18 pm. Motion unanimously carries<br />

The Executive Meeting <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors was recessed at<br />

5:15 pm and President Schaller called the General Membership<br />

Meeting to order at 5:35 pm.<br />

a) An updated Public Safety Statement card will be with<br />

the board elections ballot in December.<br />

b) Update on bill to put all city employees’ on social security.<br />

The bill was signed into law. Law will be appealed.<br />

4) PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Schaller<br />

a) University <strong>of</strong> Phoenix has requested the DSA sign a Letter<br />

<strong>of</strong> Agreement with the college. The agreement gives a 10%<br />

discount to any DSA member attending the University<br />

<strong>of</strong> Phoenix. More research to be done.<br />

b) Limited Edition Ruger gun sale will continue for another<br />

6 months with payroll deduction available.<br />

c) Update on Federal Firearms License for the DSA Store.<br />

d) President Schaller notified the membership he will<br />

not run for President in January. He will still run for a<br />

director seat.<br />
