of the Board of Directors to order on November 8, 2012 at 4:37
p.m.
ROLL CALL OF DIRECTORS:
Present: Schaller, Clay, Purvis, Turner, Lopez, DiCarlo, Petrachek,
Garmo, Bennetts
Upon motion by Turner, Second by Clay and passed by
unanimous vote, the November 8, 2012 meeting of the Board of
Directors entered into closed session at 4:38 p.m. for confidential
communications to include Fern Steiner, Cindy Olson and Adah
Mathias.
1) DISCUSSION:
a) Closed session minutes from October 25, 2012, Legal
MOTION/Purvis, SECOND/Turner to come out of closed
session at 5:18 pm. Motion unanimously carries
The Executive Meeting of the Board of Directors was recessed at
5:15 pm and President Schaller called the General Membership
Meeting to order at 5:35 pm.

2) LEGAL REPORT: Steiner
a) An updated Public Safety Statement card will be with
the board elections ballot in December.
b) Update on bill to put all city employees’ on social security.
The bill was signed into law. Law will be appealed.

i) Phone poll to approve Michael McNally’s retirement
application and pay his retirement benefit of $5,400.

MOTION/Turner SECOND/Purvis to approve the consent
calendar. Motion unanimously carries.
4) PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Schaller
a) University of Phoenix has requested the DSA sign a Letter
of Agreement with the college. The agreement gives a 10%
discount to any DSA member attending the University
of Phoenix. More research to be done.
b) Limited Edition Ruger gun sale will continue for another
6 months with payroll deduction available.
c) Update on Federal Firearms License for the DSA Store.
d) President Schaller notified the membership he will
not run for President in January. He will still run for a
director seat.
