The system type string.<br />

kern.pipe (KERN_PIPE)<br />

Pipe settings. The third level names for the integer pipe settings is detailed below. The changeable<br />

column shows whether a process with appropriate privilege may change the value.<br />

Limit for direct transfers via page loan.<br />

Number of "big" pipes.<br />

kern.posix1version (KERN_POSIX1)<br />

The version of ISO/IEC 9945 (POSIX 1003.1) with which the system attempts to comply.<br />

kern.posix_barriers (KERN_POSIX_BARRIERS)<br />

The version of IEEE Std 1003.1 (“POSIX.1”) and its Barriers option to which the system attempts<br />

to conform, otherwise 0.<br />

kern.posix_reader_writer_locks (KERN_POSIX_READER_WRITER_LOCKS)<br />

The version of IEEE Std 1003.1 (“POSIX.1”) and its Read-Write Locks option to which the system<br />

attempts to conform, otherwise 0.<br />

kern.posix_semaphores (KERN_POSIX_SEMAPHORES)<br />

The version of IEEE Std 1003.1 (“POSIX.1”) and its Semaphores option to which the system<br />

attempts to conform, otherwise 0.<br />
