servers, but only the accepted versions of their papers, not a published version as might<br />

be downloaded from IEEE Xplore®. 149<br />

employer’s website/reposi<strong>to</strong>ry <strong>and</strong> on free public servers <strong>in</strong> their subject area after the<br />

embargo period stipulated by the journal has been passed (note that the embargo period<br />

will vary by journal, e.g. 6 months or 12 months, <strong>and</strong> that some journals do not<br />

have any embargo on self-archiv<strong>in</strong>g at all – see note below). 150<br />
