Question: Employees’ field of activity More than half of the respondents deal primarily with land administration. That is consistent with the previous question result. The number of personnel dealing with SDI is rather low, actually even one level of magnitude lower than numbers in other fields. The low number can be explained with the situation, where the beneficiary countries are only entering into SDI activities, have no legal obligations and budgets ready for larger systematization into SDI and no political support. This number is expected to increase significantly in the coming years, yet the primary concern at the cadastral agencies will remain to be land administration. Also the number of MSc and PhD degrees is relatively high. This represents a good ground for acquiring new competencies and passing them on to peer colleagues.
