The first of two October gastronomic events, held on
09.10.2014, is dedicated to the subject of “Game in our
Forests”. Due to its specific characteristics, such its strong
colour, flavour and aroma, game holds a position of
honour in the fare of many gourmets. Come and try some
of our special meals, prepared with love, and become
one of these gourmets. During our next gastronomic
event, held on 30.10.2014 under the title of “Cold water
fish”, our master chefs will prepare excellent piscine
specialities using cold water fish, which are among the
most nutritious due to their high omega 3 – unsaturated
acid content. Come and try at least one of these meals
and give good food a chance to contribute towards
prevention of various diseases.

of its mineral wealth. Archaeological findings, settlement of
the region, the establishment of towns and mining activities
in the region. The history and development of the spa city
from the 15th century to date, famous Carlsbad physicians
and visitors. Medieval and Baroque statues, part of the Jáchymov
renaissance library, the history and development
of the spa industry, Carlsbad crafts, production by Carlsbad
porcelain manufactories and the Moser glassworks.

geology and mineralogy of the Ore Mountains, archaeological

Unique library of the Jáchymov Latin School dating from the
16th century (books about mining and metallurgy by naturalist
Georgio Agricola, examples of works by pastor Johann
Mathesi and composer Nickl Hermann), epitaph paintings.
Ore Mountain ethnography – agricultural machinery, tools
and historic photographs, an Ore Mountain cottage interior,
folk costume. Political prisoner camps at the Jáchymov uranium
mines after 1950. The history of the Jáchymov radon spa
industry and a period doctor’s office, Jáchymov demolition.
