The first of two October gastronomic events, held on<br />

09.10.2014, is dedicated to the subject of “Game in our<br />

Forests”. Due to its specific characteristics, such its strong<br />

colour, flavour and aroma, game holds a position of<br />

honour in the fare of many gourmets. Come and try some<br />

of our special meals, prepared with love, and become<br />

one of these gourmets. During our next gastronomic<br />

event, held on 30.10.2014 under the title of “Cold water<br />

fish”, our master chefs will prepare excellent piscine<br />

specialities using cold water fish, which are among the<br />

most nutritious due to their high omega 3 – unsaturated<br />

acid content. Come and try at least one of these meals<br />

and give good food a chance to contribute towards<br />

prevention of various diseases.<br />

Unique library of the Jáchymov Latin School dating from the<br />

16th century (books about mining and metallurgy by naturalist<br />

Georgio Agricola, examples of works by pastor Johann<br />

Mathesi and composer Nickl Hermann), epitaph paintings.<br />

Ore Mountain ethnography – agricultural machinery, tools<br />

and historic photographs, an Ore Mountain cottage interior,<br />

folk costume. Political prisoner camps at the Jáchymov uranium<br />

mines after 1950. The history of the Jáchymov radon spa<br />

industry and a period doctor’s office, Jáchymov demolition.<br />
