“Edvard Munch’s monumental projects 1909 – 1930”<br />
3 June 1993 – 28 August 1993. An extensive exhibition of<br />
sketches and works by Norway’s most famous artist, with an<br />
emphasis on his monumental works.<br />

The Olympic exhibition programme began in the autumn 1992<br />
and continued until August ‘94, and included exhibitions with a<br />
historic and thematic content, as well as a presentation of art<br />
and handicrafts. Several of the exhibitions featured foreign<br />
participants. In Norway, these works were shown in five<br />
Olympic site municipalities and in Oslo. Abroad, they were<br />
shown in Atlanta, Tokyo, Munich and Barcelona. LOOC<br />
contributed approx. NOK 18 million to the exhibition<br />
programme. The exhibitions were visited by more than 1.1<br />
million persons (as of 1 March 1994).<br />

Presentation of the results from three workshops: Present,<br />
Åkersvika-Addenda and Ceramics-Ringebu. Painting, jewellery<br />
and ceramics.<br />

”Bård Breivik – Sculpture”,<br />
24 November 1992 – 28 February 1993<br />
The opening exhibition in the museum’s new wing featured<br />
works by Mr. Breivik who was also responsible for a large<br />
artistic decoration project in the museum’s garden.<br />

A preliminary presentation of the Olympic Collection ‘94. An<br />
international collection of modern art based on the themes<br />

As a part of the Programme Abroad, this exhibition has been<br />
shown around the world: Atlanta, Tokyo, Munich and<br />
Barcelona. The exhibition showed the depth and source of<br />
inspiration for Norwegian painting over the past 200 years.<br />
