Abeliophyllum White Forsythia
Family: Oleaceae (Abelio-phy-llum: Abelia-like leaves)
Abeliophyllum distichum
Resembles a Forsythia in most respects, except for its white flowers and
Item #: 00722 - 2 1 /4” • 00724 - 4”
‘Roseum’
A very fine pink flowered version of the above. Not a dark pink, but a pleasant
soft pink, that, in our opinion, is an improvement over the species.
mosanensis
A hardy, fragrant Abelia! We obtained this deciduous species in Latvia,
so we know it’s hardy. Wonderfully fragrant, rich pink flowers – better
fragrance than a lilac! Blooms adorn this plant from late May to early
June. The glossy summer foliage turns an attractive orange-red in
autumn. We have never seen any tip die-back on this plant even in years
when other abelia cultivars are killed to the ground.
