Golden Kippah Youth Campaign
The Golden Kippah Youth Campaign is the Middle Atlantic Region’s fund-raising
activity to benefit the campers of Camp Ramah in the Pocono’s.
Research has shown that one factor influencing the lifetime commitment to being
Jewish is attendance at a Jewish overnight camp.
The Golden Kippah Youth Campaign began in 1981. Over the years, the Concert
has raised more than ONE MILLION DOLLARS and is a model for similar campaigns
across the country. (Do the members of your synagogue know that its Men’s Club is
part of an organization that has contributed so much to Camp Ramah) MAR has
achieved nationwide recognition for its work on the campaign.
The Campaign depends on your support, and your congregation support. There
are a number of ways to provide that support - we have a variety of Patron levels and
an Ad journal. More information will be sent to you during the year.
Currently, the funds benefit MAR projects at Camp Ramah in the Pocono’s. This
year’s funds will go to support the construction of the new SPORTS FIELDS. Over the
past 25 years our efforts have provided for an INDOOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES
CENTER, renovation of ALL the CAMPERS’ BUNKS and money for SCHOLARSHIPS.
