of the
MIDDLE ATLANTIC REGION
of the
FEDERATION OF JEWISH MEN’S CLUBS
Article I – Name
The name of this organization is the Middle Atlantic Region (MAR) of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs
(hereinafter referred to as FJMC).
Article II – Area
The MAR shall include Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Northern Delaware or as defined by
FJMC.
Article III – Mission
1. To maintain a regional organization of Jewish Men’s Clubs (MC) which are affiliated with the FJMC.
These clubs are commonly constituent parts of a congregation dedicated to the ideals and principles of
Conservative Judaism. The activities and goals are consistent with the aims and programs of the
component organizations that comprise the Leadership Council for Conservative Jewry.
2. To promote a more thorough knowledge and appreciation of Conservative Jewish life.
3. To stimulate social and cultural activities among the constituent MCs and in the community at large.
Article IV – Purpose
1. Organize, sponsor, develop, service, and affiliate MCs;
2. Promote FJMC policies, products, and programs;
3. Strengthen the bonds of the members throughout the Region;
4. Develop leaders for the Jewish community, and
5. Endeavor to comply, to the extent feasible and practicable, with all dictates of the FJMC with respect to
operation of a regional component of the FJMC.
Article V – Membership
Any MC that meets the requirements of the FJMC By-Laws, MAR mission (Article III) and is within the
geographic borders of this region (Article II).
Article VI – MAR Board of Directors
1. The MAR Board of Directors (MAR BOD) shall guide, manage, and direct the affairs of the Region.
2. The MAR BOD shall consist of the following:
a. Voting members:
(1) All elected officers of the Region (see Article VII).
