(2) All Past Presidents of the Region (see Article VIII). (3) The chairmen of each of the standing committees (see Article X). (4) A representative from each constituent MC, selected by the MC. (5) Up to five (5) Directors to be appointed at the discretion of the MAR President and selected from members of MCs in good standing. b. Non-voting members: (1) Any officer or member of the Board of Directors of FJMC who is a member of a MC within this Region shall be, an ex-officio member. (2) A Spiritual Advisor (who is selected by the MAR President). Article VII – Officers The elected officers of MAR shall consist of: 1. President – shall lead MAR, providing both short and long term goals; sign checks with the Treasurer; sign all contracts after approval of the MAR BOD; submit such reports to the FJMC President or FJMC Board of Directors as required. 2. Executive Vice President – shall act in the place of the President in his absence; assist the president as requested; chair the Programming Committee and Convention Committee; shall oversee the adherence to the budget; coordinate MAR regional liaison activities. 3. Three Vice Presidents – each shall perform such duties as the President may from time to time assign him. These duties shall include serving as a chair of one of the following committees: Man of the Year/Greenfield; Education; Yom HaShoah Yellow Candle. Each shall be responsible for visiting and maintaining a relationship with assigned clubs. 4. Recording Secretary – shall be responsible for maintaining complete and accurate minutes of the MAR BOD, and the Executive Committee meetings, and distribute, through the Corresponding Secretary, MAR BOD minutes to the MAR BOD and MC Presidents not later than three weeks after the meeting and Executive Committee meeting minutes to that Committee and any other group as deemed appropriate in a timely manner but no later than one week before the next Executive Committee meeting. 5. Corresponding Secretary – shall be responsible for the timely distribution of notice of meetings for the MAR BOD, and the Executive Committee and of events notices; obtain and maintain an accurate list of all names, addresses, phone number, and email address of the MAR BOD and MC Presidents. Distribution of minutes and notices may be accomplished by the use of the US Postal Service, facsimile, or E-mail. 6. Financial Secretary –shall follow up on accounts receivables and see that they are collected in a timely manner; ensure that MCs are current with their international dues; chair the Budget Committee and the Audit Committee. i2
7. Treasurer – shall make payments where necessary upon approval and direction of the President for all proper obligations of the MAR, such payments shall be made promptly so as not to adversely affect the credit of the MAR; keep an accurate record of all financial matters pertaining to the MAR; be responsible for implementing an operational budget; prepare an annual financial statement and submit the same to the President; maintain a checking account in the name of the MAR for all MAR deposits and disbursements. All checks will require two of signatures of any of the following individuals: President, Treasurer, and Executive Vice President. Article VIII – Past Presidents 1. All Past Presidents shall serve on the MAR BOD indefinitely. 2. The immediate Past President shall be an officer of MAR, shall be appointed by the current President as a Trustee, and shall be designated Honorary President. 3. All Past Presidents are Trustees of MAR and shall serve indefinitely in that capacity on the MAR Board of Trustees (MAR BOT). 4. The MAR BOT shall appoint one member, in addition to the Honorary President, to sit on the MAR Executive Committee. Article IX – Executive Committee 1. The Executive Committee shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MAR. It shall execute the desires of the MAR BOD. 2. The Executive Committee shall consist of the following members: a. President. b. Each of the Vice Presidents (4). c. Recording Secretary. d. Corresponding Secretary. e. Financial Secretary. f. Treasurer. g. Honorary President. h. Representative of the MAR Board of Trustees. Article X –Committees 1.
