390 Primarily at the end of January 2011 WFP stopped the food assistance when all clusters wound down at the end of<br />

the emergency phase. However, according to the WFP 6 month report (21 Apr. 2011), they still used food for work<br />

programmes for the rebuilding of embankments, ponds and roads etc. Per this report (see Subsection “<strong>On</strong>e Year <strong>On</strong>:<br />

An Overview”) 18,450 beneficiaries directly participated in the Food For Work projects. They and their families,<br />

totaling 92,250 people, received food rations until May 2011. (WFP used the end of May 2011 as the end of the<br />

early recovery phase /start of the long term recovery/rehabilitation phase.)<br />
