Computer networking technicians have interesting careers! Tech’s Cisco Academy can help<br />

you prepare for two different certificates-Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and <strong>the</strong><br />

more advanced Cisco Certified Network Pr<strong>of</strong>essional (CCNP). Those without a technical or<br />

computer background can prepare for entering by successfully completing <strong>the</strong> introductory<br />

course. Those with experience in computer networking may qualify to take a Challenge Exam<br />

on material covered in Intro and Course 1. Call 631/667-6000 x320 for more information.<br />

All courses provide both classroom and laboratory experience.<br />

To earn a CCNA: Upon satisfactory completion <strong>of</strong> Cisco Courses 1, 2, 3, and 4, you are<br />

eligible to sit for <strong>the</strong> CCNA exam. To earn a CCNP: After completing your CCNA certification,<br />

you can work towards your CCNP. You must receive a passing grade in each<br />

<strong>of</strong> Cisco Courses 5, 6, 7, and 8 as well as pass <strong>the</strong> Cisco exam at <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se<br />

courses. If you want to register for CCNP and you do not have a CCNA, you must take<br />

and pass a challenge exam.<br />
