192 B. For Employees Regularly Scheduled Fewer than 20 Hours.<br />

The probationary period for Employees regularly scheduled for fewer than<br />

twenty (20) hours shall be three hundred (300) hours or ninety (90)<br />

calendar days, whichever occurs later.<br />

193 C. Only One Probationary Period.<br />

In no case shall an Employee be required to serve more than one<br />

probationary period.<br />

194 D. Extensions of the Probationary Period.<br />

195 1. Mutual <strong>Agreement</strong>.<br />

The probationary period may be extended only by mutual<br />

<strong>Agreement</strong> between the Employer, the Employee and the Union.<br />

196 2. During Leave.<br />

If an Employee is on leave at any time during the probationary<br />

period, time spent on leave will not count towards fulfilling the<br />

probationary period.<br />

197 E. Evaluation During Probationary Period.<br />

Probationary Employees shall be provided with appropriate training and<br />

orientation tools and a written performance evaluation shall be issued<br />

upon completion of sixty (60) calendar days.<br />

198 F. Discharge During Probationary Period.<br />

During the probationary period, Employees may be discharged without<br />

recourse to the grievance procedure.<br />

199 SECTION 2 – NOTIFICATION TO NEW EMPLOYEES<br />

200 At the time of new Employee orientation, each new Employee shall be given a<br />

copy of the Collective Bargaining <strong>Agreement</strong> and a list of the stewards provided<br />

such list has been provided by the Union. The cost of such <strong>Agreement</strong> shall be<br />

shared equally by the Employer and the Union.<br />
