311 C. Changes in Employee’s Schedule.<br />

312 1. An Employee's schedule will be changed only in response to<br />

operational requirements. In such event, consideration will be<br />

given to the desires of the affected Employees. If there is no<br />

mutual agreement, changes will be made in reverse order of<br />

bargaining unit seniority within the department among qualified<br />

Employees. The Employee will be notified by the Thursday of the<br />

preceding week.<br />

313 NORTHERN CALIFORNIA REGION Registered Dietitian<br />

Schedule Changes.<br />

314 2. A Registered Dietitian and his/her supervisor can mutually agree to<br />

temporary schedule changes.<br />

315 SECTION 4 – WEEKENDS OFF<br />

316 A. Every Other Weekend Off.<br />

The Employer will exercise its best efforts to provide every other weekend<br />

off to all Full-Time and Part-Time Employees in a department desiring<br />

such a schedule. The Employer will exercise its best efforts to recruit Full-<br />

Time and Part-Time Employees so that this can be accomplished.<br />

317 B. More Beneficial Scheduling Practices.<br />

If an Employee enjoys a more favorable weekend off schedule, he/she<br />

shall maintain such schedule except as provided for in paragraph 311 -<br />

312, “Changes in Employee’s Schedule”.<br />

318 C. “Weekend” Defined.<br />

“Weekend” shall mean Saturday and Sunday except for the night shift in<br />

which case, “Weekend” shall mean Friday and Saturday.<br />

319 D. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA REGION Weekend Work Penalty.<br />

In the event an Employee volunteers or is required to work all or part of<br />

any second consecutive weekend and alternating consecutive weekends<br />

thereafter, the Employee shall be paid one and one-half (1½) times his/her<br />

regular rate of pay for all hours worked on the weekend.<br />

320 E. Non-Applicability of this Section.<br />

This Section shall not apply to an Employee who has requested to work a<br />

regular weekend schedule and shall not apply to an Employee who has a<br />

regular schedule which provides for either every Saturday or every<br />

Sunday off.<br />
