An Option for Improved Engine Oil Filtration<br />

The Cat Advanced Oil <strong>Filter</strong>s are now installed on new engines in production. They are<br />

also the approved upgrade option for Cat engine models that use the 1R-0739 <strong>and</strong> 1R-0716<br />

St<strong>and</strong>ard Efficiency Engine Oil <strong>Filter</strong>s.<br />

Negligible Impact on Contaminant Holding Capacity<br />

The Cat Advanced Oil <strong>Filter</strong> provides improved filtration efficiency with little effect<br />

on dirt holding capacity. Therefore, the condition of the oil as determined by S•O•S SM<br />

Services Analysis, <strong>and</strong> not filter capacity,<br />

Dirt Holding Capacity Performance is the major factor in determining the<br />

recommended oil change interval.<br />
