The <strong>Westmont</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> preschool offers developmentally appropriate programs in a fun, safe, nurturing<br />

(peanut free) environment for three, four and five year old children. The curriculum consists of group times,<br />

language, literature, art, math, science, dramatic play, healthy snacks, music and movement, indoor and outdoor<br />

play. Educational interactive materials and equipment are both offered <strong>to</strong> promote<br />

exploration and discovery which supports the growth and development of the whole<br />

child. All experiences are play based and designed <strong>to</strong> enhance the children creatively,<br />

intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically.<br />

Registration<br />

Parents are welcome <strong>to</strong> visit and observe a class at Twin Lakes Learning Center, located<br />

at 200 West 59 th Street in <strong>Westmont</strong>. For appointments or more information, please call<br />

the preschool at (630) 963-7538. A detailed parent handbook is available upon visitation<br />

and/or registration. There are still openings available for the four-year-old PM class<br />

and the Just Me Skool program for three-year-olds. Registration is only taken<br />

at the above location. Children must be three or four years old by September 1of the<br />

year they plan <strong>to</strong> attend class. All those enrolled must be fully <strong>to</strong>ilet trained (no pull<br />

ups allowed) they must be able <strong>to</strong> separate from parent or caregiver in a timely manner<br />

and must be able <strong>to</strong> communicate their needs in English <strong>to</strong> the teaching staff for safety<br />

purposes.<br />

The Staff<br />

The preschool staff prides themselves on their abilities <strong>to</strong> provide a safe, fun and<br />

nurturing environment for the children in their care. They are fully experienced and<br />

qualified in early childhood development and education. The philosophy is play based<br />

and the practices follow the guidelines of the National Association Education for Young<br />

Children.<br />
