The Last Straw Fall Event
All Ages!
Bring the whole family and experience bales of fun at the Gregg
House Museum on Sunday, October 3 from 12N to 4:00PM.
You can make a scarecrow, meet a bee keeper, see an
awesome Raptor/bird of prey program, make rope, participate
in a fun interactive music time, create some cool crafts and play
some fun games. New this year, you can try panning for gold or
minerals (nominal fee). We’ll show you the trick to guarantee a
“find”! The Westmont Garden Club will host a bake sale with
lots of yummy home-made goodies. Tour the museum and
enjoy our scarecrow display along the museum garden fence.
Most activities are free. The Garden Club of Downers Grove
will help you make a great scarecrow for your yard. Fee of $8
includes pillow case for the head, straw, wire, a wood stand, hay
and some materials. Please bring clothes (pants, shirt) and any
unique items you’d like to use to decorate your scarecrow. Items
should be environmentally friendly (no perishable goods) and
weather resistant. We have some extra clothes on hand to share.

Halloween Dance
Ages: 6 th- 8 th grade
Halloween is a holiday celebrated by activities such as
trick-or-treating, costumes, ghost stories and jack-o-lanterns.
Now we can add dancing and fun to that list of activities. Come
to the Westmont Community Center on Halloween with your
friends and show off your costume and dance moves. We will be
having a costume contest for best dressed and most creative for
the chance to win prizes. There is no better way to celebrate
Halloween than with a dance, fun and prizes.

Haunted Forest Tour
All ages welcome!
Twin Lakes Woods will come alive for one very magical,
mystical night! Narrators will tell you the story of the haunted
woods as they conduct guided tours on hayracks. Don’t turn your
back, as characters, ghouls and creatures will come alive before
your very eyes! We will again offer our Merry Monsters Matinee
performance from 5:30- 6:30 pm for the younger children.
Each tour will last approximately 10 minutes, and tours will be
ongoing so you may arrive at any time. Due to the popularity of
the event, there may be a short wait.
Note: Please park along 59 th St., at Twin Lakes Golf Club or the
Twin Lakes Learning Center.

Halloween Happening!
All Ages Welcome!
We have a Halloween day planned for you that is filled with
fun. There will be carnival games when our Community Center
changes into a midway. Ghosts and Goblins can try their luck
to win great prizes. Play as many times as you like. Bring along
your monster appetite. Our concessions area will be serving a
delightful monster meal. Everyone is invited to join the Parade of
Costumes where there will be a drawing for prizes! Then, it’s the
extraordinary show of mystery as you marvel at the magic and
illusions of Paul Lee. With audience interaction, live animals, and
can’t believe your eyes moments, you surely won’t want to miss
this special Sunday event. THIS IS A FREE EVENT!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Ages: 5 years and up
Bring your family and join us for breakfast and a movie as we watch Harry Potter and
the Deathly Hallows at Hollywood Blvd. in Woodridge. See Harry Potter as you have
never seen him before, in 3D. Everybody will take part in the breakfast buffet as well
as get free popcorn and drink re-fills throughout the movie. Watching movies has
never been better! The comfortable, reclining, leather chair and tables offer a superior
theatre experience. Bring the whole family to see the movie that everybody has
been waiting for. The movie will start at 10:00AM sharp, so please arrive on time.
We will meet at the theatre. Registration deadline is November 21.
