Bill has taught computer classes and given individual instruction to people since the household advent of the internet in the 1990’s. This presentation will give you all the information you need to know when it comes to getting a website started. Students will learn about the word processing menu bar, toolbars, and document window. During class students will practice formatting text, using the copy, cut, and paste commands, inserting clip art into a document and saving and opening documents. Students will work in already created documents on laptops. Registration deadline is November 2. Most people just don’t know about them. You will learn tools for cleaning up, backing up and maintaining files; updating software programs, troubleshooting hardware/software problems, what to do if your computer won’t start normally, how to work in Safe Mode, and more on laptops! ADULT ATHLETICS Warrior Fighting Brazilian Ju-Jitsu/Submission Grappling Ages: 15 years and up Made popular by the Grace family, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu has risen in popularity as on the essential pillars of the MMA game. Ju-Jitsu is characterized by its use of arm bars, triangle chokes, heel holds and advanced positioning on the ground. In addition grapplers learn to takedown and control opponents with Greco-Roman style wrestling techniques, and master the art of sweeps and throws borrowed from Judo. You also learn about the philosophy being the art of Ju-Jitsu and how that philosophy can motivate you and help you develop self-confidence and techniques to concentrate and focus your energy. Participants will receive instruction on skill and techniques while also benefitting from practicing drills with fellow students. Registration deadlines are one week prior to start dates. This program is designed to give women the basic skills necessary to master the art of boxing, while also providing them with a fun, comfortable environment to enjoy the benefits of a boxing workout. Boxers will enjoy the benefit of being trained by female, certified coaches/trainers who are here to support, motivate and inspire you. Each class will include skill development, conditioning drills utilizing various boxing equipment, flexibility training and education on the sport of amateur boxing. You will get the best work out of your life! The program does not involve contact or sparring. Registration deadlines are one week prior to start dates. Not only is Muay Thai considered one of the most effective combat sports in the world, it also provides it’s students with a very safe, but exhausting workout like no other. Muay Thai incorporates the use of feet, fists, shins, knees and elbows, combined in multifaceted combinations that produce fantastic results. Participants will partner up in this one hour class and practice a variety of skill development and conditioning drills utilizing kicking shields, thai pads, and heavy bags. There is no contact or sparring in this class. Registration deadlines are one week prior to start dates. Wrap your hands, pull on those gloves, and get ready for an intense boxing workout. One fast paced, full hour of heavy bag work, conditioning drills, jump rope and core training. Don’t forget your water bottle! You are going to sweat! Get in the best shape of your life with this traditional boxers workout (minus the contact). This is a conditioning based workout with minimal instruction. If you want to train hard this is the workout for you!
