Jennifer White
Miss Jennifer is thrilled to be starting another season at the place
she used to call her “second home.” It was here at the Westmont
Park District she discovered her love for dance at the age of 5.
She studied a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz and tap and
was even a member of the Electric Star Dance Troup. She always
enjoyed every minute of her time spent inside the studio. After her
family moved away, she continued her dance training at a variety of
locations throughout the Naperville area, training in ballet, pointe,
Jazz, lyrical, tap and musical theatre. She also performed in theater
productions in high school including “Robin Hood”, “The Hobbit”
and the tap sensation hit musical “42 nd Street” (Her Favorite)!
Continuing her dance studies in college, she had the privilege of
learning from Dance Loop Chicago member, Dmitri Peskov. She
is also currently training in ballroom and Latin dance. Learning at
a variety of locations and different teachers, no place ever felt like
“home” the way the Park District did and is very excited to be a part
of it again. Her main goal is for students to want to come in, want
to learn, and have lot of fun the entire time doing it because “that’s
really what it is all about.”

Pre-Ballet / Pre-Tap: Ages 4-5 years

Ballet II
Ages: 10-15 years
This class will help you continue your dancing experience and will
focus on the fundamentals of ballet. Student will work on more
advanced techniques, while following the traditional dance regime.
Warming up on the barre, student will be working on the basic
positions and warm ups. We will also focus on the proper hand and
foot placement, advanced steps, movements across the floor and
proper stretches. Students should wear a leotard, tights and ballet
shoes. Registration deadline is September 16.

Tap II
Ages: 10-15 years
This class will help you continue your dancing experience and will
focus on the fundamentals of tap. Students will learn more advanced
techniques in rhythm, movement and tap combinations. Tap terms
and definitions will be discussed in class so students can have a better
understanding of the history of tap. Students should wear a leotard or
t-shirt, tights or socks. Tap shoes must be brought to class every week.
Registration deadline is September 16.

Ballet/Tap I
Ages: 6-7 years
This class is a continuation of Pre-Ballet/Pre-Tap and emphasizes
ballet and tap theory. Students will also focus on technique with step
combinations, musical awareness and performance skills. The second
half of each class will focus on rhythm technique, movement and tap
combination steps will be learned.
Students should wear a leotard and tights, and bring both ballet and
tap shoes to each class. Registration deadline is September 17.

Broadway for Kids
Ages: 6-12 years
Broadway has always brought us fun, excitement, great songs and
unbelievable dance numbers! Your child can experience that too in
this new class, Broadway for Kids! Your child will learn new exciting
steps, hear great Broadway tunes, and learn two of the most famous
dance number; the ever popular Hand Jive from Broadway’s “Grease”
and the audition number from Broadway’s “42 nd Street.” Tap shoes
will be required for this class as well as ballet or jazz and long hair
should be tied back. Registration deadline is November 11.
