Grant size<br />

The maximum amount allotted <strong>to</strong> cultural projects differs from one year <strong>to</strong> the next. For 2010, the<br />

maximum amount for each project was €20,000 while the minimum was €10,000.<br />

The financial contribution will not exceed 60% of the <strong>to</strong>tal eligible costs of the activity for candidates of<br />

European countries and 70% for candidates from Mediterranean partner countries.<br />

Examples of projects<br />

Among the programs supported by the organization are the following:<br />

FaNaNat aims <strong>to</strong> promote women’s creativity in Belgium, Tunisia, and Morocco.<br />

The STUBNITZ IN MED project aims <strong>to</strong> revitalize the intercultural Euro-Mediterranean by<br />

bringing <strong>to</strong>gether cultural ac<strong>to</strong>rs from the independent music scene <strong>to</strong> perform in<br />

multidisciplinary festivals.<br />

ISTIKSHAF aims <strong>to</strong> establish an interactive p<strong>la</strong>tform (real and virtual) <strong>to</strong> explore the question<br />

of artistic mobility in the Mediterranean.<br />

Research-based Art/Art-based research aims <strong>to</strong> initiate long-term cooperation between artistic<br />

institutions in Europe and the Middle East, by focusing on the process of artistic research.<br />

Dance Refl-action aims <strong>to</strong> design an educational p<strong>la</strong>tform/forum for reflection and action in the<br />

field of contemporary dance in the Euro-Mediterranean region, with a particu<strong>la</strong>r focus on the<br />

Arab countries.<br />

The Book of Alef aims <strong>to</strong> increase intercultural learning through the promotion of the Arab<br />

<strong>la</strong>nguage and culture.<br />

Application procedure<br />

Applications for funding must be submitted via the Internet when the offers are published with<br />

deadlines. Requests can be made electronically, using online forms avai<strong>la</strong>ble on the site<br />

http://www.euromedalex.org/fr/ressources/programme-de-financement, by registered mail or by<br />

private courier service. It is strongly recommended <strong>to</strong> use the online application forms.<br />

Restrictions<br />

Any request sent <strong>to</strong> the email addresses of the foundation’s staff members will be rejected<br />

immediately.<br />

It is possible for the same organization <strong>to</strong> submit more than one application, but it cannot receive<br />

more than one source of funding.<br />
