Grant size<br />
The following grants were awarded during the period from January 1 through December 31, 2010:<br />
Total grants <strong>to</strong> individuals: $1,170,750<br />
Total grants <strong>to</strong> organizations: $332,000<br />
Total expenditures in 2010 were $4,800,000. Seventy-seven percent or $3,700,000 of this amount<br />
went directly <strong>to</strong> program services. Program service expenditures have increased over <strong>la</strong>st year from<br />
$3,600,000 in 2009 <strong>to</strong> $3,700,000 in 2010.<br />
Examples of recent grants<br />
The ACC supported cultural exchanges for 106 artists, scho<strong>la</strong>rs, arts specialists, and organizations<br />
from 11 different countries, such as:<br />
Alliance of Artists Communities<br />
Providence, Rhode Is<strong>la</strong>nd : <strong>to</strong> support travel <strong>to</strong> China by senior staff from the Alliance and its<br />
member organization, Art Farm residency, in order <strong>to</strong> forge connections with Chinese<br />
residencies, art institutions, universities, and artists<br />
American Dance Festival<br />

Durham, North Carolina : <strong>to</strong> enable two choreographers from China <strong>to</strong> participate in the<br />
<strong>International</strong> Choreographers Residency Program at the American Dance Festival in summer<br />
2011<br />
Osage Art Foundation<br />
Hong Kong: <strong>to</strong> enable participation of artists, cura<strong>to</strong>rs, and scho<strong>la</strong>rs from the Philippines<br />
Application procedure<br />
Application on line<br />
Organizations from Hong Kong, China, Macau, Japan, Taiwan, or the Philippines should apply directly<br />
<strong>to</strong> Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei, and Mani<strong>la</strong> field offices.<br />
All applicants should submit a full and correct application before the deadline. Only one application<br />
per organization will be accepted. The ACC will not process <strong>la</strong>te or incomplete applications and will<br />
not follow up on incomplete applications.<br />
A complete individual application should include:<br />

Two references evaluating your past work and the value of your proposed project<br />
Supplementary materials that show examples of the applicant’s previous work<br />
Restrictions<br />
Please note that the ACC cannot support individuals pursuing projects in their home countries.<br />
Priority consideration is generally given <strong>to</strong> individuals who have not previously received funding<br />
support from the Asian <strong>Cultural</strong> Council.<br />
