Note 3 Economic dependency
The Commission was established by the Australian Tourist Commission Act 1987 and is controlled by the Commonwealth
of Australia.
The Commission is dependent on appropriations from the Parliament of the Commonwealth for its continued existence
and ability to carry out normal activities.
