C.I.A. REPORT A Little birdie told me… it has Amore for Amici’s Pizzeria Cafe… Located in Coconut Creek at 4800 West Hillsboro Blvd. They are the new neighborhood cafe/pizzeria that rates a “10” on my list! I popped in on the weekend for a takeout meal having heard great things about their menu. Owners Craig and Jairo were on hand to greet me and immediately I liked the warm, inviting atmosphere and the great aromatic smells of cooking in the kitchen! Like any Italian, the smell of garlic draws me in like a moth to the flame and I could sense that homemade Italian fare right away. I loved their thick, homemade sauce (or gravy for fellow Italians) that was flavorful and chunky with onions, tomatoes, savory herbs and spices. The Chicken Parmesan was cooked to perfection with a crisp, light breading on a melt-in-your-mouth chicken breast. The pizza was delicious too and my husband especially loved the Hawaiian style, which was bursting with ham, pineapple and onions. I was impressed as Craig greeted his customers and made them feel like they were dining right in his own kitchen. It is obvious that they are invested in great customer service, which makes for a Bellisimo dining experience. Want to sit quietly with a nice cappuccino and a scrumptious homemade dessert after a movie with your honey Look no further than Amici’s. They serve salads, pizza, traditional Italian meals, their ever-popular Panninis and so much more. So please add them to your “do lunch” or “do dinner” list. You’ll be glad you did. Take a little ride over to the Weston side with this little birdie… I found a neat place in the Weston Town Center, at 1679 Market Street, called “The Cheese Course”. After dining in a restaurant in the Center, my husband and I meandered in and found a one of a kind business that can tempt your taste buds or inspire your kitchen sense. The Cheese Course is all about, what else—cheese! Set in a tasteful kitchen/dining room, you can enjoy their menu, purchase wonderful gift items, have a specialty gift basket made, and even pick up accompaniments such as breads and wines. You name it! This is really a fun place to eat or browse. With unique kitchen items such as an olive wood cutting board and other kitchen serveware ,as well as hard to find chutneys and champagnes, they display their commitment to a simple, classic, traditional feel that is inviting and makes you want to stay for a while. The menu was packed with delicious bistro sandwiches, salads and, if you wish, an authentic cheese course highlighting cheeses from all over the world. The staff certainly made us feel at home, and it was evident by the way they chatted easily with their patrons that they have committed, repeat customers. For an outing with a bit of a different flair, something a little laid back and casual, yet elegant and interesting, try The Cheese Course, of course!
