Panel Operation
NOTE
• <strong>The</strong> type names are abbreviated on the SP2060 screen.
For example, “24dB/Oct Bessel” <strong>is</strong> d<strong>is</strong>played as “24Bessel.”
• Gc page <strong>is</strong> d<strong>is</strong>played if you select “Adjust Gc” for the Type
parameter.
LIBRARY
Using libraries facilitates the recall of optimal speaker settings.
Up to 60 libraries are available for each component via
the DME Designer application.
Foreword
• Thru
No filter <strong>is</strong> applied. <strong>The</strong> original character<strong>is</strong>tics are kept
with no attenuation for all frequency ranges.
• AdjustGc (Adjustable Gc)
Filters with an Adjustable Gc enable you to adjust the gain
at the cutoff frequency in the range of –6dB through
+6dB. With Gc set to –3dB, the filter <strong>is</strong> practically a Butterworth
filter. And with Gc set to –6dB, the filter <strong>is</strong> practically
a Linkwitz-Riley filter.
• Butrwrth (Butterworth)
Th<strong>is</strong> filter <strong>is</strong> the most common type of filter. It has a flat
pass band and a –3dB gain at the cutoff frequency.
• Bessel
Th<strong>is</strong> filter focuses on the phase character<strong>is</strong>tics. Although it
has a more gradual roll-off than a Butterworth filter, it will
pass a square wave without causing ringing.
• Linkwitz (Linkwitz-Riley)
Th<strong>is</strong> filter features the square of the second order. When
the output signal from its LPF and HPF are combined, the
gain over the entire range <strong>is</strong> +/–0dB. It has a flat pass band
and a –6dB gain at the cutoff frequency.
D<strong>is</strong>playing the current library
Pressing the [X-OVER] key repeatedly will select the Current
Library d<strong>is</strong>play, Library L<strong>is</strong>t d<strong>is</strong>play, or X-Over d<strong>is</strong>play,
in th<strong>is</strong> order.
<strong>The</strong> title of the library most recently recalled for each component
will be d<strong>is</strong>played.

Recalling a library

Libraries cannot be d<strong>is</strong>played or recalled for Input channels. If
you press an Input channel [SEL] key, a message appears.
Follow the steps below to recall a library:
1. Press the [X-OVER] key repeatedly until the
Library L<strong>is</strong>t d<strong>is</strong>play appears on the screen.

2. Press the [SEL] key of an Output channel for
a component for which you w<strong>is</strong>h to recall a
library.
3. Press the [▲INC]/[▼DEC] keys to select a
library.
