Limitations
Although APS offers a myriad of possible interventions for the wide variety
of abuse situations faced daily, it was beyond the scope of this project to
address:
• the results of the investigations;
• the case management services offered to alleviate the abuse situations; or
• the end result of the APS intervention for each of the reports received.
Sample interventions are provided in the Appendix on page 50.

Follow-up
The CWDA Protective Services Operations Committee recommends
following up this project with:
• further research;
• the development of an all-county data collection system;
• more training for county APS staff and multi-disciplinary team members;
• increased funding; and
• support for federal action to combat elder and dependent adult abuse.
