cum şi studii sistematice asupra anizotropiei proprietăţilor
compuşilor de tip CeMX2. În plus, investigaţiile
din acest domeniu au fost completate prin studiul compusilor
similari cu uraniu, care a constituit oportunitatea
principală oferită de acest stagiu. O parte importantă
a cercetărilor a fost dedicată investigaţiilor
asupra magnetismului electronilor 5f. În contextul
majorităţii compuşilor intermetalici, electronii 5f au un
caracter dual, localizat şi itinerant. În acest sens, în
cadrul lucrului în ASRC au fost investigate sistematic
mai multe clase tipice de compuşi pe bază de uraniu,
realizând în premieră şi studii asupra magnetismului la
temperaturi înalte pe monocristale ale unor astfel de
compuşi.
Prezentarea cauzei/motivului/
circumstanţelor care au stat la baza
luării deciziei de a revenii în ţară
Introducerea unor competiţii pentru proiecte (gen
CERES, RELANSIN, etc) şi implicit posibilitatea de a
putea finanţa şi dezvolta teme şi direcţii proprii de
cercetare, perspectiva aderării la UE şi implicit aceea
de a avea un sistem mai coerent de alocare de fonduri
pentru cercetare au constituit pentru mine circumstanţele
pozitive în favoarea unei reveniri în ţară.
Stoparea decăderii, până atunci continuă, a cercetării
ştiinţifice şi faptul că începeau să se contureze
mecanisme logice de abordare a politicii ştiinţei şi
implicit de finanţare şi dezvoltare m-au făcut să cred
că am unde să mă întorc şi cum să fac ceva în domeniu.
Trebuie să precizez că la întoarcerea mea efectivă
programul CEEX nu era încă funcţional, mai
degrabă se contura ca o posibilă perspectivă fericită,
dar nu garantată. Demararea CEEX-ului şi finanţarea
corectă (adică contractarea chiar a sumei propuse în
proiect – la acel moment în 2005 acest lucru a fost o
premieră în cercetarea românească) au fost pentru
mine semnalul că se va putea face cercetare ştiinţifică
(serioasă!) şi în ţară. Astfel proiectul CEEX-RP a
devenit pentru mine mai degrabă motivul unei
rămâneri în ţară.
Relatarea succintă a începerii derulării
proiectului (sprijin acordat
obstacole întâmpinate)
Proiectul de tip RP a beneficiat de o finanţare
bună (la nivelul anului 2005) şi mi-a permis demararea
unei abordări sistematice în dezvoltarea domeniului
de studiu în cadrul INCDFM. Beneficiind de o birocra
ie redusă (în comparaţie cu celelalte proiecte
CEEX) acest tip de proiect s-a dovedit a fi un sprijin
real, din punctul meu de vedere atingându-şi scopul
de sprijin în reintegrare. Este important să ţinem
seama de faptul că deşi planificată, cercetarea ştiinţifică
implică o elasticitate intrinsecă. Este un proces de
căutare continuă şi de ajustare pas cu pas la obseranisotropic
properties. The investigations in this field
were completed by the study of similar uranium compounds
which represented the main opportunity of this
stage. An important part of the research was dedicated
to 5f electrons magnetism. In the majority of intermetallic
compounds the 5f electrons have a dual character,
localized and itinerant. From this point of view,
in the research stage at ASCR, several typical classes
of uranium based compounds were systematically
investigated, including first time studies on high temperature
magnetism of uranium monocrystals.
Presentation of the causes/reasons/
circumstances which determined the
decision to return to your home country
The introduction of project competitions (like
CERES, RELANSIN, etc.) and implicitly the possibility
of financing and themes and thus of specific directions
research developing, the perspective of joining EU
which implied creation of a more coherent research
funds allocation system, represented for me positive
circumstances for my return in home country. The end
of continuous degradation of scientific research and
the appearance of new logical mechanisms in the
Romanian science policy and thus in the research
financing and developing made me believe that I have
where to return and how to realize something in this
field. I have to say that at my returning the CEEX program
was still not functional, it appeared more likely
as a possible pleasant perspective but not guaranteed.
The starting of the CEEX competition and the
correct financing (the allocation of the same amount of
money as proposed in the project – for the first time in
the Romanian research) was for me the sign that reliable
scientific research can be made also in our country.
Thus, the CEEX-RP project became for me a reason
more to stay as to return in the country.
Brief presentation of the project
implementation (support received,
obstacles encountered)
The RP project benefited from a good financing
(for that time, 2005) and permitted me to start a systematic
approach in the developing of this field in
NIMP. Due to its reduced bureaucracy (comparing it to
other CEEX projects) this type of project proved to be
a real support, from my point of view, reaching its purpose
as reintegration support. It is important to notice
that although planned, the scientific research implies
an intrinsic elasticity. It is a continuous searching
process and a contiguous adjustment, step by step, of
the obtained results with new planned works. From
