4.1 Online engagement as a new way <strong>of</strong> working<br />
<br />
The diagram below from <strong>on</strong>e <strong>of</strong> the taskforce’s commissi<strong>on</strong>ed projects describes the term<br />
‘<strong>on</strong>line engagement’. 136 Online engagement is the more general term comprehending the range<br />
<strong>of</strong> activities from communicating <strong>with</strong> citizens to bringing them into direct collaborati<strong>on</strong> <strong>with</strong><br />
government using Web <strong>2.0</strong> tools. ‘Online collaborati<strong>on</strong>’ refers to the processes <strong>of</strong> working<br />
together <strong>on</strong>line <strong>with</strong> <strong>on</strong>e or more people in order to achieve something. 137<br />
