The Toronto Academy of Dentistry is a not for profit association representing the dentists of Toronto East, Toronto Central, Toronto North,
and Toronto West Dental Societies of the Ontario Dental Association. It is recognized as a leading, responsible, accountable and benevolent
link between dentists and the general public.
Mission
The TORONTO ACADEMY OF DENTISTRY, a respected leader and resource to the dental profession in the Metropolitan Toronto Area since
1890, is dedicated to enhancing the professional lives of its members through guidance, education and service.

Strategic Priorities
The Toronto Academy of Dentistry considers the following issues as priorities in achieving its mission. Both Board and staff will focus
attention and resources on these areas.
1. The Annual Winter Clinic
2. Assist and promote component societies
3. Public Relations: an experienced staff person to address general queries and complaints
4. Co-ordination of dental and fellowship functions within the GTA
5. Mediation services for the public
6. Communication with dental auxiliary organizations
7. Honourary Life Membership to recognize a dentist’s ongoing service to the dental community.
8. Fellowship activities such as the Annual Golf Tournament, Curling Bonspiel and Ski Day.
9. Donations to charitable organizations through The Toronto Community Professional Dental Association
10. Information of new and emerging study groups.
