• Contents — Click to view the message contents.
8.1.2 Message Contents
If you select a specific message in an Ensemble Management Portal page and request to view its contents, the information
displays in the lower half of the screen.
You can display message contents from various locations in the Ensemble Management Portal, as follows:
• [Ensemble] > [Messages]:
– Select a message and click Contents
– Select two check boxes in the column at far left, and click Compare Messages. This displays the contents of two
messages side by side. To return to the [Ensemble] > [Messages] page, click the browser’s Back command.
– While viewing message Details, click Contents.
• [Ensemble] > [Messages] > [Visual Trace] — Select a message and click Contents.
The standard Ensemble message body appears in colorized XML format, as shown in the following example:

A virtual document, such as an HL7 message, appears in segments, with one segment visible per line, as shown in the following
figure:

For HL7 messages, from left to right, each line displays:
• The segment number on a white background: 1, 2, 3, etc.
