Idyllwild Arts is holding a three-week filmmaking
course for high school students ages
15 to18 where students write and direct their
own films as part of the summer program. A
community-wide casting call last Saturday
invited all ages to try out for different parts
available in these short films at the Ryan Sound
Stage on campus. From left, Ginger Elias,
18, the writer and director of “My Brother
Clem” explains to Tatiana Mercuri, 9, what
the movie and character is about before she
reads the script. All finished movies will be
shown on Saturday, July 26, starting at 10
a.m. at The Rustic Theatre. They will be free
and open to the public.
