CONFERENCE INFORMATION GENERAL INFORMATION For more information about abstracts and handouts on disk, ancillary events, attire, evaluations, special needs, and the itinerary builder, visit AAPexperieNCE.org and click on attendee, then general information. The AAP provides many services and resources, including AAP information desks and registration areas in the headquarters hotel and Moscone Center. Also available are a restaurant concierge, Nursing Mother’s Lounge, Internet pavilions, and shuttle service to special events not within walking distance. Dress for the NCE is generally business casual. Because large facilities and meeting room temperatures may be diffi cult to regulate, we recommend layering with light jackets and sweaters. Also recommended are comfortable walking shoes. Because the AAP is sensitive to the special needs of its attendees, scooters and wheelchairs are available on-site and are complimentary to all attendees. We recommend reserving a scooter or wheelchair in advance by contacting AAP Meeting Services at 800/433-9016, ext 7883. The NCE is a popular venue for various ancillary activities, such as committee meetings, focus groups, medical college/hospital sponsored alumni events, receptions, and non-AAP symposia, all of which are separate from the core NCE program. The Press Room, staffed by communications staff, will assist media representatives in covering AAP meeting sessions.
