ACADEMY OF MARY IMMACULATE, FITZROY<br />

‣ Continued welcome <strong>of</strong> Mercy Schools <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> <strong>to</strong> gain a greater understanding <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Mercy<br />

s<strong>to</strong>ry and <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir Mercy roots.<br />

‣ Representation at all Mercy Conferences and o<strong>the</strong>r appropriate Mercy and Religious Education<br />

conferences and pr<strong>of</strong>essional learning activities.<br />

‣ Participation in <strong>the</strong> Young Mercy Leaders Pilgrimage <strong>to</strong> Dublin and <strong>to</strong> World Youth Day – a very<br />

significant and enriching experience for all participants.<br />

‣ <strong>Annual</strong> review <strong>of</strong> Religious Education Curriculum Years 7 <strong>to</strong> 12.<br />

‣ Significant increase in staff gaining Accreditation <strong>to</strong> Teach in a Catholic School<br />

‣ Continued enthusiastic student participation in Seeds <strong>of</strong> Justice Conferences.<br />

‣ Active involvement <strong>of</strong> a significant number <strong>of</strong> students in <strong>the</strong> Justice Group<br />

‣ Continued support by both staff and students <strong>of</strong> A<strong>the</strong>r<strong>to</strong>n Gardens Homework Club (working with<br />

and men<strong>to</strong>ring primary school students from <strong>the</strong> Public Housing Estate).<br />

‣ Positive student involvement in <strong>Community</strong> Action Week<br />

‣ Successful Cultural Week held under <strong>the</strong> auspices <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> SRC<br />

The <strong>Academy</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Immaculate</strong> adds value <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> education <strong>of</strong> each student through a myriad <strong>of</strong><br />

activities.<br />

Our College documentation and publications – Vision, Mission and Values Statement, Strategic Plan,<br />

Prospectus, College Website, fortnightly Newsletter, Academian Magazine, Alumnae Newsletter provide<br />

information about aspects <strong>of</strong> College life that exemplify who we are and <strong>the</strong> living out <strong>of</strong> our ethos and<br />

mission. At <strong>the</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Immaculate</strong> <strong>the</strong> above documentation provides a comprehensive<br />

summary <strong>of</strong> all that happens at <strong>the</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>.<br />
