TEACHER SATISFACTION<br />

A high level <strong>of</strong> teacher satisfaction can be evidenced by:<br />

‣ Strong commitment <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Vision, Mission and Values Statement and <strong>the</strong> Mercy<br />

Ethos.<br />

‣ Strong commitment <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Strategic Plan 2009 – 2014.<br />

‣ Strong commitment <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> School Improvement Framework process<br />

‣ Active involvement in <strong>the</strong> life <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> College<br />

‣ Commitment <strong>to</strong> and support <strong>of</strong> Pas<strong>to</strong>ral and Co-curricular activities.<br />

‣ Ongoing involvement in Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Learning opportunities.<br />

‣ <strong>Annual</strong> Review Meeting with <strong>the</strong> Principal.<br />

‣ Appraisals <strong>of</strong> teachers in Positions <strong>of</strong> Leadership.<br />

SIF SURVEY RESULTS<br />

Comparative data from SIF Survey results in 2010 and <strong>2011</strong> indicates that staff in <strong>2011</strong> have<br />

expressed a significant increase in levels <strong>of</strong> satisfaction in a number <strong>of</strong> areas. These include:<br />

• Individual morale<br />

• School morale<br />

• Pr<strong>of</strong>essional growth<br />

• Student behaviour<br />

• Curriculum processes<br />

• Student motivation<br />

• Respect for students<br />

• Quality teaching<br />

The data also indicates that a number <strong>of</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r areas remain constant in terms <strong>of</strong> staff<br />

satisfaction:<br />

• Work demands<br />

• Student behaviour<br />

• Student management<br />

• Parent partnerships<br />

• Teacher confidence<br />

• Engaging practice<br />
