Vincent W. Williams, poet, actor and artist,
writes: “I was born 67 years ago (as,
coincidentally, was my twin sister Kay). I am
married (as, coincidentally, is my wife Patricia).
We reside in Dubuque, Iowa, USA. After 31
years teaching theater and speech arts in college
and high school, my life has settled to a pretty
focus which finds me writing, acting and
painting. During Christmas seasons, my acting
partner and I perform my original script A
Christmas Dickens. Nestled amongst playful
banter, together we act Dickens’s A Christmas
Carol. In 2004, I acted the ship’s captain for the
History Channel’s docu-drama Ship Ablaze, The
General Slocum Disaster. I am also a professional
oil painting artist, having completed a ninepainting
series visually expressing the Biblical
beatitudes. I have written poetry throughout
most of my life, especially enjoying creating art
that would seem ‘out of reach’ and
‘impossible.’ ”
Cathy Wilson is the mother of nine children,
who has authored three published books of non
-fiction. She lives on three acres with her
husband, four children still at home, four
chickens, a horse, a goat and a dog. She likes to
write, paint, garden, cook, read, build things and
learn new things too.
