in the first round (20th overall) of the 2010
NFL Draft.
2010 (Houston 11/11): Started at cornerback in
his professional debut vs. Indianapolis (9/12),
making four solo tackles and breaking up one
pass...made six tackles (four solo) and had a
pass defensed at Wahington (9/19)...had six
tackles (three solo) and one pass defensed vs.
Dallas (9/26)...made four tackles (three solo) and
had a pass defensed at Oakland (10/3)...made
five solo tackles and intercepted the first pass
of his young NFL career and returned it 23 yards
vs. NY Giants (10/10)...made seven tackles (three
solo) vs. Kansas City (10/17)...made six tackles
(five solo) including a pass defensed at Indianapolis
(11/1)...made six tackles (five solo) and
intercepted a pass from QB Philip Rivers vs. San
Diego (11/7)...made two solo tackles at Jacksonville
(11/14)...made three solo tackles and had a
pass defensed at NY Jets (11/21) and vs. Tennessee
(11/28).
COLLEGE: Played in all 41 career games at Alabama
and started 40 contests, registering 159
tackles (106 solo) with eight tackles for loss (24
yards)…deflected 29 passes and recorded five
interceptions (164 yards, 32.8 avg.)…his 29 pass
deflections rank fourth on Alabama’s all-time record
list…his 13 pass breakups in 2009 rank seventh
on the school’s single-season record list…
registered one forced fumble and one fumble recovery…blocked
two kicks…returned one punt
for eight yards.
