ARIAN FOSTER NOTES
UNDRAFTED TO UNBELIEVABLE
RB Arian Foster is one of only 10 undrafted
players in NFL history to rush for
more than 1,000 yards in a season. Foster
eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in Week 11
against the New York Jets and has an
NFL-best 1,147 yards this season.
Foster Priest Holmes is the only other undrafted
player in NFL history to rush for more
yards in the first 10 games of a season than Foster. Holmes
had 1,012 yards for through the first 10 games of the 2002
season for Kansas City to Foster’s 1,004 yards through this
season. To date, Foster’s rushing total is ninth all-time
among undrafted players.

Of the 301 players to rush for 1,000 yards in a season
since 1991, only five other players have made a higher percentage
of their carries go for a first down than RB Arian
Foster has this season.
Foster leads the NFL with 66 first downs rushing on 224
carries, meaning that 29.5 percent of his carries go for first
downs.

RB Arian Foster has rushed for 1,404 yards on 278 carries
with 15 touchdowns in 17 NFL games.
Nearly 60 percent (58.0 percent) of Foster’s rushing
yards have come after halftime and eight of his 12 rushing
touchdowns (66.7 percent) have come in the fourth
quarter. He rushed for 191 yards in the second half against
Indianapolis in Week 1, including 125 yards on 11 carries
in the fourth quarter, and had 126 yards on 13 carries after
halftime at Oakland in Week 4.
