Fakat konuyla ilgili çalışmalarda
mevzu derinlemesine anlatıldıktan sonra son
nokta “Ancak çözüm yakın zamanda gözükmüyor”
diye konuyor. Bu umut kırıcı yaklaşımın
tersine Prof. Dr. Vasif Qafarov yakın
tarihten verdiği bir örnekle umutların canlı
tutulmasını öneriyor: “Günümüzde dünya
19-20. yüzyıllardaki dünya değildir. Mesela
Ağustos 1991’de SSCB’de bir darbe girişimi
oldu. Ama o zaman hiç kimse SSCB’nin 3 ay
içerisinde dağılacağını tahmin edememişti. O
darbe girişimini yapanlar hapsedildi. Fakat 3
ay kadar kısa bir sürede SSCB gibi dünyayı
korkutan bir imparatorluk dağıldı.”
Kuzey Carolina Devlet Üniversitesi’nden
Dilbilimci Prof. Dr. Michael Adams, doğruluk
üzerine “Şu anda ülkede kimin doğrulara,
kimin gerçeklere sahip olduğu konusunda
bir tartışma yürütülmektedir… Doğruları ve
gerçekleri yeniden bir araya getiremediğimiz
sürece pek fazla ilerleme kaydedemeyeceğimiz
bilinmelidir” diyor. Karabağ’da doğru ve
gerçekler bütün dünyanın gözü önünde
yaşanmış olmasına rağmen bir halk ağır
kayıplar veriyor ve topraklarından mahrum
bırakılıyor. Acı dolu bu yürekleri ise bir gün
evlerine geri dönecekleri umudu hayata bağlıyor.

17.” He is planning to celebrate his birthday
when he returns to his village.
Every person who survived the genocide
shares the same wish: “Being able to return to
their homeland one day.” However the studies
and researches, after thoroughly discussing
the issue, end with a similar statement:
“Ultimate peace remains elusive in the near
future.” Rather than this hopeless approach,
Prof. Dr. Vasif Qafarov gives an example and
recommends us not to give up our hope:
“Today the world is totally different from the
world in the 19 th and 20 th centuries. For
instance, there was a coup d’état attempt in
the USSR in August 1991 but nobody could
anticipate the collapse of the USSR within 3
months. People who attempted the coup d’état
were put in prison. However, the USSR, an
intimidating empire then, collapsed in only 3
months.”
Prof. Dr. Michael Adams, linguist at the North
Carolina State University said, “The national
argument right now is, one, who has got the
truth and two, who has got the facts… Until
we can manage to get the two of them back
together again, we are not going to make
much progress.” The population suffers agony
and is forced to leave their homeland although
the truth and the facts in Karabakh are obvious
to the entire world. Their anguished
hearts holds on to life hoping to return to
their home.
