When using the QuEChERS method to prepare samples, you must perform an extraction and clean up the sample. The next step is to exchange solvents and
produce a final solvent that is more amenable to a splitless injection. 10
To perform an extraction:
1. Weigh a thoroughly homogenized 15 g sample into an extraction tube.
2. Pour 15 mL of 1% glacial acetic acid/MeCN extraction solvent into the tube on top of the sample.
