Community <strong>Plan</strong>ning Team (CPT)<br />

The DMA planning regulations and guidance ardently stress that each local government<br />

seeking the required FEMA approval of its mitigation plan must participate in the process.<br />

The Community <strong>Plan</strong>ning Team (CPT) is composed of <strong>Metro</strong> staff and stakeholders. The<br />

Additional agencies and organizations interested in <strong>Metro</strong> Nashville and/or natural hazards<br />

were contacted at the beginning of the planning process to see if they were doing anything<br />

that might affect the community's program and to see how they could support the<br />

community's efforts. The following key agencies were contacted:<br />

Tennessee Emergency Management Agency;<br />

FEMA Region IV;<br />

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District;<br />

Natural Resource Conservation Service, State Conservationist;<br />

National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) State Coordinator; and<br />

Tennessee Natural Resource Conservation Service.<br />
