CEP is the EU think-tank of the non-profit Foundation »Stiftung Ordnungspolitik«.
It evaluates the EU’s relevant political projects and develops strategies for
the economic policy of the EU. CEP’s publications include weekly Policy Briefs
on the EU Commission’s legislative proposals. On a regular basis, CEP also
publishes Studies, e.g. for the ECON Committee of the European Parliament,
to which it is an official advisor in questions of Financial Market regulation.
CEP operates according to the principles of non-profit-organisations. There -
fore, we are bound to work independently of special interests and political
parties. The ordo-liberal free market principles constitute the academic foun -
dation of our analyses.
The CEP is chaired by Professor Lüder Gerken. Member of the Board of Trustees
are: Leszek Balcerowicz, Frits Bolkestein, Roman Herzog and Hans Tietmeyer.
