CEP is the EU think-tank of the non-profit Foundation »Stiftung Ordnungspolitik«.<br />
It evaluates the EU’s relevant political projects and develops strategies for<br />
the economic policy of the EU. CEP’s publications include weekly Policy Briefs<br />
on the EU Commission’s legislative proposals. On a regular basis, CEP also<br />
publishes Studies, e.g. for the ECON Committee of the European Parliament,<br />
to which it is an official advisor in questions of Financial Market regulation.<br />
CEP operates according to the principles of non-profit-organisations. There -<br />
fore, we are bound to work independently of special interests and political<br />
parties. The ordo-liberal free market principles constitute the academic foun -<br />
dation of our analyses.<br />
The CEP is chaired by Professor Lüder Gerken. Member of the Board of Trustees<br />
are: Leszek Balcerowicz, Frits Bolkestein, Roman Herzog and Hans Tietmeyer.<br />
