The Risk Management Research Center (Forschungszentrum Risikomanage -
ment, FZRM) at the University of Wuerzburg is one of the leading institutions
in the field of risk management research and education.
In cooperation with various partners from different industries, the FZRM
develops innovative methods to identify, assess, treat and monitor risks as
well as the corresponding opportunities. With respect to the complex and
interdependent nature of risk, the FZRM pursues an interdisciplinary research
approach strongly emphasising the integration of insights from adjacent
disciplines (especially mathematics/statistics, law, information systems,
sociology and behavioural sciences). In principle, the research activities
are geared to provide solutions which are applicable to a wide range of orga -
nizations, regardless of their size, legal form, industry and activities.
Moreover, the FZRM promotes executive as well as academic education
programs, offering various courses in the field of risk and opportunity mana ge -
ment.
