The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) is
part of the European System of Financial Supervision, which is an integrated
network of national and European supervisory authorities.
EIOPA was established in consequence of the reforms to the structure of
supervision of the financial sector in the European Union. This reform was
initiated by the European Commission, following the recommendations of
a Committee of Wise Men, chaired by Mr. de Larosière, and supported by the
European Council and Parliament.
EIOPA is also an independent advisory body to the European Parliament, the
Council of the European Union and the European Commission. Its organisational
structure includes the Board of Supervisors, the Management Board,
Board of Appeal, Stakeholder Groups and Working Groups.
EIOPA’s core responsibilities are to support the stability of the financial system,
transparency of markets and financial products as well as the protection of
policyholders, pension scheme members and beneficiaries.
The EOS Group is one of the leading international providers of individual
services connected with the customer relationship life cycle – from customer
acquisition to electronic payments processing and ultimately debt collection
and factoring. The main focus is on receivables management.
EOS stands for high-quality debt collection for the protection of creditors
and consumers. With over 9000 employees and more than 50 subsidiaries,
EOS provides services for 20,000 clients in more than 25 countries around
the world.
By being connected to an international network of partner companies, the
EOS Group offers customers access to resources in more than 130 countries
