Inter house sports competitions.
Inter house sports competitions are being held in every sports discipline. The students are divided into 4
houses. The competitions are held for sub junior, junior, senior and super senior categories for boys and
girls separately. The competition culminates with the annual sports day. The house system is encouraged
to develop competitive spirit and fair play, leadership qualities do emerge from such competitions. All
children are encouraged to participate in various competitions held through out the year for their house.
This system ensures that no child is left with out a competitions exposure. Medals and certificates for
athletic events and cups and certificate for team events are provided. The house that secures the maximum
points emerges as champion house and is awarded the overall championship trophy. The detailed Inter
House Sports program are as follows :‐
State / District / Zonal Inter School Tournament
The School provides the opportunities to the selected students to participates in National / State / District /
Zonal sports tournaments in various sports disciplines. Some of the important competitions are as follows:‐
Selection of school teams:
Selection trials are conducted in all the games for students, who are interested in age categories under 12,
14, 16 and 19. Outstanding students are selected to from school teams in various games to represent JIRS
team in various CBSE / State/ National and International competitions.
The school teams in various categories are given special training in the morning from 06:00am to 08:30am
under the supervision of qualified coaches from JASE to participate in various tournaments.
Awards and honors: The school identifies excellent performers in each discipline with best sports man
award and honors them during annual sports day. To encourage budding talents, promising player in each
discipline are awarded trophies. Individual champion in each category in the annual athletics meet is
awarded with trophy.
Progress monitoring system: The school has a special system of monitoring each child progress in sports.
The progress of each child is meticulously recorded and monitored periodically to assess the progress or
regress of each individual. The quarterly reports and annual reports of each child’s activity, performance,
and achievements are being updated and posted on website so that the parents can keep track of their
child’ activities in sports.
Special tests are periodically conducted and recorded by the concerned coach in each game and where ever
guidance is to be given the child is individually helped. Every activity of the child whether it is parade,
swimming, physiological changes, health report, strength and weakness, achievements and learning and
practicing of game skills are recorded and monitored through the students.
Sports profile which is also put on website so that the parents have complete data of their child. A model
cop of student’s profile of one child is enclosed.
