Magnetic Stripe Readers – USB, RS-232, and Keyboard Wedge
For MSR, MagTek offers the smaller (approx. 4” in length), port-powered readers with USB, Keyboard Wedge and
RS-232 interfaces. MagTek also offers the Full-size readers (6.5” in length) in Keyboard Wedge, RS-232 with A/C
adapter, and the RS-232 port-powered, available in various configurations. Whichever MSR type or size you choose,
you will find the same reliability people have come to associate with MagTek, the leader in card solutions since 1972.
MagTek’s latest MSR product is the SureSwipe, a 3-track card reader with two magnetic heads. The SureSwipe reader
was designed specifically to read any magnetic stripe card regardless of which way the magnetic stripe is facing when
swiped. The SureSwipe reader is available with USB HID and USB Keyboard emulation interfaces.

Mini MICR – MICR Check Reader
MagTek’s Mini MICR is a compact, fast and highly accurate check reader designed to reduce transaction time
and data entry errors. Mini MICR is incredible versatile by reading both E13B and CMC7 MICR fonts, and by
offering connectivity to nearly every POS terminal and cash register on the market. Also, the Mini MICR reads
the complete MICR line on the check and can output the data in the format required by the check processor’s
platform. An optional 3-track MSR is available. The Mini MICR’s proven track record has allowed MagTek to
establish a large installed base of over 1 million check readers.

MICRImage – MICR Check Reader and Scanner
MagTek’s MICRImage is a single-feed, single-side check reader and scanner, ideal as a desktop peripheral for POS
terminals and PC-based applications implementing electronic check conversion. In a single pass, MICRImage can read the
entire MICR line (E13B and CMC7) and capture the front image of a check. The back image can also be captured with a
second pass. MICRImage is available with RS-232, Ethernet and on-board modem interfaces. For USB connectivity, a USB
cable adapter is available for use with the RS-232 MICRImage (drivers are required but can be obtained free of charge
from MagTek). MICRImage offers convenient cable management by combining data and power lines into a single interface
cable from the device (the cable must be ordered separately). An optional 3-track MSR is available.
