Flange-Free Low Pressure Fittings †
• Convenient ferrule eliminates need for flanging
• Compatible with all 1/4-28 UNF ports
• Frit-in-ferrule option provides in-line filtration
A
5488 5489 5490
The Flange-Free system makes connections to
1/4-28, flat-bottomed ports without flanging tools.
Hand-tightened connections produce a leak-free seal to
500psig on 1/8" o.d. PTFE tubing and to 1,000psig on
1/16" o.d. PTFE tubing. Hex-head fittings are available
for use with harder tubing, such as PEEK, Tefzel ® , or
metal.
The frit-in-ferrule assembly has a small frit built
into the ferrule to give the benefits of in-line filtration,
without the inconvenience or added dead-volume of a
filter housing.
Flange-Free Plus High Pressure Fittings
• Seals Finger-Tight to 5,000psig
• Connects to any standard 1/4-28
port
• Available only for 1/16" tubing
The Flange-Free Plus fitting
system improves the pressure rating for connections to a
standard 1/4-28 port. A simple, stainless-steel bushing
helps compress the ferrule against the tubing for a
secure seal to 5,000psig. A PEEK ferrule is used for its
liquid seal, maintaining an inert, metal-free fluid path.
Which Ferrule Material Should I Use?
1. Between a nut, ferrule and tubing assembly, the ferrule should be the softest material.
2. Kel-F ® and Tefzel ® ferrules give the best results with PTFE, Tefzel ® or softer polymeric tubing.
3. PEEK ferrules should be used with PEEK or metal tubing and fittings.
