Rheodyne ® Model 7520
Micro-Scale Injector
• Ideal for 1-2mm columns

The model 7520 Syringe-
Loading Micro Injector is
designed for microbore HPLC
columns. The standard sample
size is 0.5µL. Accessory
chambers are available for
0.2µL and 1.0µL volumes.
Below is a flow diagram
of the 7520. The needle port
in the inlet stator includes a PTFEneedle seal near the
bottom of the port. A spring keeps the seal compressed
so it grips the needle tip. The volume between the
needle tip and the sample chamber is 0.3µL. This
small volume, as compared to external filler ports,
greatly reduces sample loss. The 7520 valve is rated to
7,000psig maximum. To conserve seal life, the valve is
factory preset to withstand 5,000psig maximum. The
7520 valve accepts any 22 gauge or 22s gauge flat
bottom needle.

The MX Nano-Injector is the ultimate solution for
nano-scale sample injection. It comes with a noninterchangeable
10nL internal sample chamber, and
features Rheodyne’s biocompatible Duralife technology
for greatly extended duty cycles in lab automation.
MX Nano-Valves can be operated either by push
button, allowing them to function as a “manual” valve,
or by contact closure for complete remote control.
By connecting the valve to a single contact closure
(two wires), a sample can be loaded during system
equilibration and injected unattended when the system
is ready. No more waiting for the LC ready signal, just
load the sample and forget it.
