Implications of the Consultation Response<br />
3.48 The responses provide the following three main indications which the <strong>District</strong><br />
<strong>Council</strong> will need to consider before progressing to the next stages of LDF<br />
preparation:<br />
An indication of the general weight of submitted public opinion on a range<br />
of options;<br />
The comments of statutory consultees, who because of their status and<br />
importance in the planning process have significant weight;<br />
An indication of public opinion on the major, strategic development<br />
proposals put forward in the Core Strategy Strategic Directions.<br />
3.49 There is a requirement for careful consideration over the next few months.<br />
