Slightly lower sales volumes lead to lower operating<br />
profit (EBITA) for the Nordic markets in <strong>2012</strong>. However,<br />
in spite of the generally weak economy, <strong>Inwido</strong><br />
defended and developed its market positions well.<br />
For example, the operations in Denmark showed<br />
a solid growth rate in the consumer market and<br />
presented an all-time-high operating profit (EBITA).<br />
The Nordic markets, Denmark,<br />
Finland and Norway, are traditional<br />
strongholds for <strong>Inwido</strong>.<br />
Wood and wood/aluminium products<br />
dominate the markets, with a low share<br />
of plastic and aluminium windows.<br />
The markets are relatively consolidated<br />
and the main competitors are large,<br />
family-owned companies.<br />
Denmark: <strong>Inwido</strong> is the second largest<br />
window company in the country and<br />
accounts for about half of the market<br />
together with the largest competitor.<br />
The remaining players are relatively<br />
small and local companies. About 80<br />
percent of <strong>Inwido</strong>’s sales in the Danish<br />
operations come from the consumer<br />
market and 20 percent from the<br />
