You will be e-mailed in June/July when<br />

your course registration appointment start<br />

time is available for Fall/Winter studies. For<br />

details on your appointment start time sign<br />

into your Student Center and click on the<br />

box on the right entitled Enrollment Dates.<br />

(Summer course registration can be done<br />

72 hours after you activate your Summer<br />

Registration.) Students receive registration<br />

appointment times according to their year<br />

<strong>of</strong> study, priority being given to upper<br />

year students in descending order. Course<br />

priorities are lifted allowing more access on<br />

July 23rd .<br />

Degree Services<br />

The Office <strong>of</strong> the Registrar <strong>of</strong>fers a number<br />

<strong>of</strong> Degree Services that allow students<br />

to better evaluate the modules they are<br />

interested in and their progress throughout<br />

their degree. The following is a list <strong>of</strong> the<br />

services available, as well as information on<br />

who can use them and what they will help<br />

you do. If you have questions about the<br />

results please see your <strong>Academic</strong> Counsellor.<br />

Degree Audit<br />

Who is it for? Certain students currently<br />

enrolled in NAC modules.<br />

What does it do? Allows users to audit<br />

progress in their current degree.<br />

How do I access it? The degree audit<br />

service is available only to current students.<br />

Therefore, you are required to login to the<br />

Student Services website to access it. Eligible<br />

students will be able to see the Degree Audit<br />

link under the Degree Explorer link in the<br />

‘Records’ section.<br />

Detailed Statement <strong>of</strong><br />

Account<br />

To access your tuition fee bill, log into<br />

student.uwo.ca and select “Detailed<br />

Statement <strong>of</strong> Account.” You will be able<br />

to view your account balance, installment<br />

options and tuition payment details five<br />

business days after enrolling in courses.<br />

Diplomas<br />

Diplomas are retained in the Office <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Registrar for two years after Convocation.<br />

If you did not attend Convocation, your<br />

diploma can be picked up in person from<br />

Student Central, Room 1120 WSS.<br />

If you are unable to obtain your diploma<br />

in person, then you can request your diploma<br />

to be mailed to you by sending a signed letter<br />

that clearly states:<br />

• your full name and address (Note:<br />

Delivery to a P.O. Box is not possible)<br />

• your daytime phone number<br />

• apartment buzzer code (if applicable)<br />

• student number<br />

• the year you <strong>graduate</strong>d (Spring or Fall<br />

or in absentia)<br />

• the degree(s) conferred upon you<br />

The <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Ontario</strong><br />

utilizes FedEx for diploma mailing, therefore<br />

all information listed above is necessary<br />

for successful receipt <strong>of</strong> your requested<br />

document. The associated costs are $25.00<br />

within Canada and $50.00 outside <strong>of</strong><br />

Canada. Payment can be made either by<br />

cheque or money order payable to The<br />

<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Ontario</strong>, or by Visa or<br />

MasterCard.<br />

Diploma Replacements<br />

If your diploma has been lost, damaged<br />

or destroyed a replacement diploma can be<br />

reproduced. In order to obtain a replacement<br />

diploma:<br />

• visit http://www.registrar.uwo.ca/index.<br />

cfm/student-records/diplomas/ to<br />

download the Diploma Replacement<br />

Form<br />

• or visit www.convocation.uwo.ca<br />

The cost <strong>of</strong> a replacement Diploma is<br />

$45.00 (There is an additional fee <strong>of</strong> $25 for<br />

mailing within Canada and $50 for mailing<br />

outside <strong>of</strong> Canada), which may be paid<br />

by cheque or money order payable to The<br />

<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Ontario</strong>, or by Visa or<br />

MasterCard. Printing may take up to 6 weeks<br />

from receipt <strong>of</strong> request.<br />

Student Central provides a service in<br />

which you can have your <strong>Western</strong> diploma<br />

authenticated for a third party. The cost is<br />

$6.00.<br />

Directory Removal<br />

This service enables students to notify the<br />

Office <strong>of</strong> the Registrar that they wish to be<br />

excluded from the online <strong>Western</strong> directory<br />

listing that provides email addresses.<br />

Examination<br />

Conflicts<br />

A student who is scheduled to write more<br />

than two examinations in any 23-hour period<br />

may request alternative arrangements through<br />

the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the Dean <strong>of</strong> their faculty.<br />

A student who is scheduled to write two<br />

examinations concurrently must notify the<br />

Registrar so that arrangements may be made<br />

for both examinations to be written in the<br />

Examination Conflict Room in a sequence<br />

established by the Registrar. A student<br />

scheduled to write an examination that<br />

conflicts with a holy day <strong>of</strong> that student’s<br />

religion which prohibits such activity should<br />

seek accommodation under the terms <strong>of</strong> the<br />

policy on religious holidays.<br />
