FISITA Islands of Excellence
With this exciting new innovation for the 2008 World
Automotive Congress, FISITA is encouraging young scientists
to take a visionary look into the future of automotive
technology.
Universities from around the world entered a competition
to win the chance to present their research projects at
FISITA 2008. The five best concepts have been chosen
by the Scientific & Technical Committee and these will be
demonstrated by the students themselves during the congress
in 5 separate “Islands” under the themes of: Body,
Electronics, Simulation, Testing & Virtual Reality, Vehicle
Safety and Vehicle Concepts. Each Island uses hardware
as well as audio-visual presentations to help stimulate vital
discussion about the Future of Automobiles and Mobility.

“FLEXFORM” - The development of a new, flexible manufacturing
process for low volume production
